The Grove at Cottonwood in Broomfield, Colorado
This project will provide low income housing, a social center and dining area to residents of the Grove. It broke ground on July 8, 2025 and is scheduled to be complete in late, 2026. This project will provide low income housing and was funded predominately through the Low Income Tax Credit program managed by Colorado Housing and Finance Authority. This is the first project of it's kind in Colorado and we believe it will provide the residents with a great living experience while proving to be cost effective and self-sustaining.
The community will provide apartments in 1-2 bed configurations ( building 3 ) as well as a limited number of townhomes ( building 1) duplexes ( building 2 ). The community will also feature a community center where residents will be able to gather, meet with friends and participate in scheduled activities. The community center will also include an area to bring residents together for meals and special events.
We are very excite to be a part of this project as it will provide residents with independent living, a social center and dining room should they choose to participate and broad set of social and educational programs offered by volunteers at Blue Spruce Community. The community will feature security systems and many green areas that will be used for get togethers as well as potentially a communal garden in the future.
The Community is also designed to provide ample green space areas for gathering and to support communal gardens in the summer that all residents will be able to participate in throughout the spring and summer months.
On July 8, The Grove at Cottonwood held its ground breaking ceremony. In attendance were many from City Council, Broomfield Housing Alliance, Caddis Architecture, Blue Line Development, Denevue Construction and of course many potential residents of the Grove who were anxious to participate. We will update you from time to time on the progress of this community and others as time moves forward.
