In each community we work in we will work side by side with the Property Management and Care management team and services providers. For the Grove at Cottonwood this will include organizations such as Broomfield Housing Alliance and Service organizations such as Friends of Broomfield, Imagine and other care management organizations that support the residents. The community of people with I/DD have a variety of needs, aspirations and capabilities and a coordinated effort is required to help them achieve the capabilities on a consistent basis.
Broomfield Housing Alliance
We are pleased to have partnered with the Broomfield Housing Alliance (BHA), the Housing Authority of the City and County of Broomfield, Colorado. BHA believes that our identities are shaped by the environments we live in, as they are by the people we live around. BHA knows housing has an outsized impact on each person's ability to thrive in this world and participate in their community. The opportunity to thrive is the direct and immediate result of the systems we create as a society to support healthy, inclusive and sustainable communities. BHA has many projects underway but one of the first is the Grove at Cottonwood, one of the first of its kind that combines the public and private interests to create a community that is focused on the needs of people with I/DD. The Grove at Cottonwood expects to break ground in the middle of 2025 and complete construction by the end of 2026. This community will support people with affordable housing and a mixture of housing environments that have been selected to support the diverse needs of the people that will live in this community.
FRIENDS of Broomfield
We are pleased to partner with FRIENDS of Broomfield, a service organization that has been dedicated to the needs of the I/DD community since 1998. FRIENDS has created an environment where the participants are offered a variety of day programs including employment and residential that are tailored to their interests and capabilities. FRIENDs has a growing staff of committed people who are developing and offering new programs based on the interests of the people that participate in FRIENDS. FRIENDS provides young adults with affordable social and travel opportunities for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, helping to build social connections, explore new destinations, and experience meaningful recreation.
Imagine
We are pleased to partner with Imagine!, an organization dedicated to supporting people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) across Colorado. Imagine! offers a wide range of opportunities that help individuals live, learn, work, and connect in ways that reflect their goals and dreams. These include supports such as residential living, school-age programs, adult community engagement, behavioral and mental health services, employment supports, family-recruited employee options, and even innovative virtual services. Through these programs, Imagine! walks alongside people and families, ensuring that each person is valued, included, and empowered to live the life they choose.
