Our annual report will include a summary of the goals and attainment for our organization for the prior year as well as the volunteer network, fundraising and how we have impacted and supported the people in the communities that we serve.
2025 Annual Report
In 2025, Blue Spruce Community was focused on the following goals:
1. Engaged in working with the Broomfield Housing Alliance on the The Grove at Cottonwood and the service providers on the design of the community and the programs that will be offered upon the opening. The community will open later in 2026 and will offer up to 40 individuals with low income housing and a supported volunteer activity program.
2. Creation of a web site and Newsletter designed to help the reader understand the I/DD housing problem and the approach that Blue Spruce Community is encouraging to support the residents of the housing programs that we become engaged in over time. This was implemented by June, 2025
3. We established a fund raising goal for Q4 of $35,000. We exceeded this goal by nearly 40%
2026 Goals
For 2026, we have established the following goals for Blue Spruce Community:
- We will be actively engaged in supporting the grand opening of The Grove at Cottonwood with a Volunteer Coordinator and the initial offering of social and educational programs for residents of the The Grove at Cottonwood.
- We will continue fund raising to support the expenses associated with the Volunteer Coordinator and the programs being offered to the residents. For 2026, we are now focused on our 2026 goal of $75,000 in charitible donations and grants.
- We will expand our outreach efforts to include religious organizations and local employers to support our core function of supporting the residents at The Grove at Cottonwood.
