As parents of children with Intellectual or Developmental Disabilities (IDD) or “special needs”, the founders of Blue Spruce Community are committed to developing a sustainable and affordable choice for people with IDD.
Our Mission is to create a supported yet independent, apartment community for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities, that enables residents to live independently, engage their broader community and provides a diverse and safe living situation that is affordable and sustainable.
By achieving this mission, Blue Spruce Community will provide continuity, stability, companionship, and promote individual development.
The Blue Spruce Community will encourage independent living and community engagement, anchored by a pragmatic support system. Family members and guardians will be integral to the success of the residents. As the community members mature and age, they will have a continuity in living at The Blue Spruce Community.
